Haidara Foundation for Peace and Human Development is preparing to
open a bakery to provide bread for poor and displaced families in the capital’s secretariat.
The project’s manager Arafat Abdulrahman Almuaidi stated that the bakery funded by Haidara Foundation in partnership with Mercy Worldwide Organization aims at the first stage to provide school meals for 800 students from the families of the displaced and poor families in the capital Sana’a.
He pointed out that the bakery will produce bread for 200 poor and displaced families and the addition of more beneficiaries in the next stages.
Al-Muaidi said that the purpose of the bakery is to produce the daily bread for hundreds of the displaced and destitute families and help them provide school meals to their children because of the difficult conditions and their inability to provide basic living conditions for them and their children.
He assured that the charity bakery project will represent a humanitarian initiative and a successful experiment that will encourage humanitarian organizations and people charities to support the Foundation and encourage them to establish more bakeries to cover the needs of the poor and the displaced in Sana’a and other governorates.
The director of the charity bakery project praised the cooperation of Mercy Worldwide Organization in carrying out part of the costs of establishing the bakery and buying its production equipments. He called on businessmen and local and international humanitarian organizations to support the bakery to ensure its sustainability and expand the circle of beneficiaries.
