has launched the distribution of Eid Al-Fitr clothing
The distribution was for children of targeted families in many neighborhoods of the capital city Sana’a
During the launch, the head of the foundation Ms Sohear Abdulrahman Almuaidy said that the project aimed to help many families who are unable to provide the Eid Clothes for their children because of the difficult conditions which are caused by the aggression and siege. She pointed out that the project has targeted about a thousand child of the displaced and destitute families in Sana’a.
Therefore, she confirmed that the project was preceded by a field survey carried out by the foundation with the help of the heads of the neighborhoods in Shomaila, AlSafia, Al-Qaa , Shamlan, AlHasaba and the displaced families in Atan; clearifing that the survey was aimed to identify the needy families to provide their children the proper clothes either from the foundation’s sewing lab or from the market.
Additionally, she has illustrated that the foundation has equipped an integral section of sewing and embroidery to train the poorest families so that trainees can secure a source of income to help them support their families.
She also pointed out that the difficult circumstances of many families prompted the foundation to postpone the training courses and begin by the production of the Eid Clothing; confirming that the foundation’s sewing lab was able to produce 60% of the required quantities of a better quality than the products sold in the market.
For this part, the director of the Eid Clothing Project Mr Sakher Al-Furasi said that the project comes within several activities carried out by the foundation to alleviate the suffering of the most affected citizens because of the aggression and siege. He confirmed that the solidarity and benevolence are good traits of the، Yemeni people which represent one of the most important factors of their steadfastness against the deadly aggression for two years and three months.
