The third phase of the UHF housing project, which benefits the flood affected, was started in Bajel Directorate of Hudaydah Governorate. The project consists of 75 housing units to be built on an area of 8400 meters, while 75 families benefit from this project with a total of 450 people, knowing that the implementation of the first and second phases has been completed during the past two years with 30 housing units, from which 210 people benefited.
The local authority stressed the importance of this project, which is one of the most important projects, with a sustainable development nature, which solves the problem of a large number of poor families whose homes and tents have been damaged by floods and rains and are living in the open, knowing that this project was carried out in coordination with the Supreme Council’s Secretary-General. “Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hamli”, opened the project and laid the foundation stone, announcing the start of the project, he expressed his admiration for the project and urged the authorities to provide full cooperation and facilities for the success of the project, praising the role of the Haidara Foundation, in the presence of the Director of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs in the governorate, “Jaber Al-Razihi”, and the Director General of the Directorate of Bajel “Abdul Moneim Al-Rifai”.
With the efforts of institutions, organizations and people in establishing and implementing humanitarian projects. Pointing out that the current stage requires humanitarian interventions in all fields, which comes within the directions of the leadership and the national vision to alleviate the burdens of citizens.
During the visit to the project, the Director of the Supreme Council’s Branch, “Mr. Jaber Al-Razihi”, stressed the importance and necessity of implementing the project in accordance with the agreed specifications. He praised the interventions of the Haidara Foundation and United Humanitarian Foundation in achieving charitable works that benefit people, especially in light of war and siege.
The Director of the Directorate “Al-Rifai”, in the presence of the Chairman of the Planning and Finance Committee of the Local Council, “Hassan Abdullah Diabi”, also praised the humanitarian interventions of the foundation in providing housing and services to the poor, orphans, and the most needy groups. He stressed the keenness of the local authority and the Supreme Council in supporting and succeeding various humanitarian service projects.
The President of Haidara Foundation for Peace and Human Development, “Suhair Al-Muaidi”, confirmed that during the three phases of the project, the Foundation built 105 houses, including the (75) houses during the third phase, which is considered the third housing project in the Directorate, where each residential unit consists of two rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen.
The President of Haidara Foundation for Peace and Human Development, “Ms. Suhair Abdul Rahman Al-Muaidi”, explained that during the past five years, the Foundation has implemented many important activities and projects, which included training and rehabilitation in the fields of health, education, relief and shelter, in addition to social and charitable activities and projects with a total of (44) projects.
She said that through the implementation of these projects, the Foundation has achieved a successful experience,, foremost of which is the charity bakery, the water tanks project, and the housing project for floods affected families in the city of Bajel, Hudaydah Governorate.
She pointed that the Foundation devoted the majority of its projects and interventions mainly in order to create a kind environment of living stability for the targeted groups and families, which was increased by misery and suffering by the war in this forgotten country and far from the circle of international attention in its various organizations and agencies. She stressed that the humanitarian crisis continues to widen and portends more suffering and misery and that the Foundation is making great efforts to alleviate that suffering.
The President of Haidara Foundation also pointed out that the Foundation seeks to find appropriate and sustainable solutions to the problem of shelter for those affected by war and natural disasters, in a way that is compatible with Yemeni society and also conforms to humanitarian standards, within high quality and community standards that preserve complete privacy for each beneficiary, while moving forward to a brighter future.
